What on earth am I doing? Starting a blog. Oh yes, something I never thought I'd do.
But... I found it necessary. Being in the adoption process, we are blessed by those who have kind interest in how it's going, on updates, and on why it takes so long!
But, gosh, there's a whole lot more to it than the process. Yet I think the process is actually the easiest part to share, because frankly, my emotion doesn't come out so much when I talk "process", besides whatever my sigh indicates as I explain the additional 6 months or so we are waiting to bring our son home.
There's my heart. There's my husband's heart. There are my precious children's little, loving hearts. There's a ton of love, emotion, and prayer, and that is what I think of, when I think of adopting our son.
So here I hope to share a little more about why we are building our family through adoption, how adoption glorifies God, and how adopting our son has already taught us so much about the Lord, and our son isn't even home yet!
"A home for Him" - while yes, you might think this title is in regard to our home being one for our Korean son, actually, this blog is titled "A home for Him" - "Him" being our Lord. I pray our home would be set apart to glorify the Lord, a place of love, joy, and peace to all who enter here. And so while our home is home for T-J, our home is the Lord's, and our son is the Lord's, as the earth is the Lord's and everything in it!
So welcome! Here goes nothing...
