Hi All,
thanks for stopping by. Could you all just keep our little guy in your prayers this week? All is well, no worries. But its really time for things to get moving. His case has remained the same 16 months. Nothing has changed for him to get him home since March 2012, except our agency is now preparing paperwork for his case to move forward once the first Batch of EPs is approved. He is 22 months old. How we long for him - to put his shoes on, to watch him run, to see his toes. I received a babycenter update email today regarding his development - those are always interesting to get regarding the fact that we aren't together, but I signed up to follow his growth. It discussed how children his age are learning to hop off the bottom step, and jump with two feet. It suggested holding his hands and bounching on a bed with him. Gosh, "while you hold both his hands" got me - just a reminder I can't grab his hands. And I'm fine. I really am. There have been blogposts where the tears have flowed. I guess we really have come to a place of submission, but it doesn't mean Adam or I don't miss him every second of the day. We think about him constantly, as every parent thinks of their child.
Right now, its just a call to pray believing that God answers His children when we pray. Will you pray with us?
I'm blessed to be apart of an online group of families also waiting for their children from S. Korea. Frankly, we're all antsy, actually beyond antsy. We're tired, weary of waiting. Its hard to not know what's going on on a daily basis. And I don't want to complain or gripe. That's not even where my heart is. I do feel its beyond time for movement, so I just felt this urge today to pray for this week in Korea, for movement of cases of the many children in Batch 1, to be approved so these kids' cases can move on to family court. And once those precious children move on, then our son can move down the line too and his friends will also. I know he has little buddies there, and these little buddies have families waiting around the world for them too.
Please pray for the adoption process to move along at a steady, improved, more efficient pace, for those officials who oversee the process to feel our sense of urgency, and those who work tirelessly on our kiddos paperwork and cases to be blessed for their effort. I pray those officials who witness the devoted love of these adoptive families who wait years for their children to be motivated to unite these families faster. Please pray for us, for patience, for excitement over frustration, for trust over worry, for the joy of our son, in anticipating all that he is, and for God to equip us with the love, patience and care he will need as he enters our family, home, and culture. Lastly, would you please pray for God's comfort on those families who lost their daughters in the plane crash in San Francisco (flying from Seoul, S. Korea) and the many who are suffering injuries? Heartbreaking.
Thank you. Pray God will move things along in amazing ways this week. We know He can. We will trust Him if He doesn't. But I feel like He laid it on my heart today to pray, and ask others to pray, to remember He is in and through all of this and is leading us. So thanks, for praying with us. We regularly ask God to bless you - the many people, family and friends and strangers who are supporting us in bringing home our precious one and who love him too. We live in anticipation of God's goodness and know He is faithful and to be praised! Thanks all!
We are told in the Bible to ask, to seek Him. Matthew 7:7-12 says,
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If
you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
He whispers to us, still,

The other night, while praying, she thanked God for her "brothers". :) May you feel the Lord's embrace as you rest today Buddy and our love across the miles. Thinking of you makes us smile Tae.)
